Jim, great video. Having been in the business a little longer than you, it is a trip down memory lane, a reminder of what moves markets over the long term. Your focus on the important, big picture indicators is a meaningful reminder to ignore most of the day-to-day street chatter. Your focus on monthly returns during rising rates, falling rates, M2 growth etc. was particularly interesting. Keep up the good work.

Hi Jim, fabulous video. Please, please, please keep these videos coming. It gives you plenty of time to say what you want to say without being edited or cut off by CNBC (but I love that they have you on). Very informative. I also have the option to replay parts of the video, pause and go back or re- listen. It is a more understandable form of communication. Maybe quarterly or even better, even weekly but just like 5+minutes to keep us up to date on the ever changing markets. Definitely prefer this format most. Thank you, Jim. I so appreciate you.

Jim, I really enjoyed the midyear update. It’s an excellent way to summarize and reinforce some of your writings from the first half of the year. Really helps me refine a bit of a strategic view. (how I’m going approach the markets for the next five years) versus tactical decisions between now and the end of the year (of which I make very few).

You’re an enormous help to all of us as we struggle through a bit of this Market insanity.

Enjoyed the video presentation very much. As said elsewhere, it was a nice change of pace. I also agree that interspersing a handful of your incredibly insightful charts would be a welcome enhancement. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!

Nice video Jim! Maybe a quarterly cadence would be a great way to think about it. Or maybe when you just don't feel like writing! Keep up the great work.

Excellent Jim. I have followed you for over 20 years and was thrilled to become a paid subscriber immediately when you started this Substack following your retirement. I appreciate your charts and written analysis you provide so I would not want to lose that but maybe once/week (or every other week?) doing such a video is valuable as the nuance in voice is something one cannot provide in written analysis. I will agree to disagree with you on the direction of the 10 year yield :-)

Nice presentation, Jim. I’ve always admired your temperament and common sense oriented analysis. One Q: on stock selection, you’ve suggested tech companies are the place to be. But if we have progressively slower growth, wouldn’t that suggest consumer staples, healthcare etc.— the usual suspects for slow growth?

Hi Jim, thoroughly enjoyed your discussion. Also a big fan of your notes which eloquently describe economic factors at work in the markets. You definitely help me stay invested. Imparting your knowledge is a major strength of your Substack. I also appreciate your calming voice in such market uncertainty. Thanks!!

Nicely done and a nice recap of many of the topics and viewpoints you have been writing about during the course of the year. Both methods of conveying your message are good. The occasional video is a good way to reiterate your thoughts from time to time.
