March Excess Return Video Interview
Monthly Conversation with the gang from Excess Return Podcast
Friday, I had the great pleasure of joining Jack Forehand (@practicalquant) and Justin Carbonneau (@jjcarbonneau) from the Excess Return Podcast for another monthly podcast. This month we visited about a wide variety of topics including the potential impact of the Iran conflict, some thoughts on AI, and a discussion about how although the new era economy remains healthy, the old era economy comprising about 89% of private sector spending has seen its real growth slow to only 1% with zero job creation — effectively a recession by any other name! What does this imply for potential Fed and Fiscal actions and for the stock market?
I hope you find the conversation informative and thought provoking. If you are not yet a paid subscriber, I encourage you to sign up for the coming year. Thanks for taking the time to watch and listen! And thanks to Jack & Justin for having me. Much appreciated! Click the YouTube link below.
Thanks for Taking a Peek! Jimp

Always nice to hear discussion of the topics included here. Did want to mention that with the "AI disruption" section, the money saved from the "wills and home purchases" using AI being taken from say the Lawyers. The people you mentioned who would then use the savings to purchase a boat etc... are going to be a higher percentage of the ones losing the money in the first place, not all but many. Making that a lateral move.
